CANADA GLACIER TERMINUS MEASUREMENTS

1995/96 Metadata

Terminus met station data - station run on the Canada Glacier terminus just outside of camp.
Shortwave sensors are licors; sensors are mounted looking into and away from cliff, not up and down. Out pyronometer #PY20222; In pyronometer #PY????
Distance is measured with a sonic ranger from AGF (old instrument from USGS in Lakewood?)
T, RH are measured using a Campbell 207 probe. S/N 3423

1996/97 Metadata

1996-97 Terminus met station data

During the 1996-97 season, two terminus station were run at different points on the Canada Glacier.

term9671.dat is from the first, longer running station which was set up at the site of the 1995-96 terminus station (just outside of the Lake Hoare camp) built out of extra parts. The data is:
ID,JD,Hour,Tair,RHair,Sin,Sout,PAR,U,Udir,Tsurf,Rnet,Distance,battery

NOTE: radiation sensors are looking into and away from cliff, not up and down.

term9671.thm.dat is thermocouple data from an array of thermocouples set up on the term9671 station to measure the temperature gradient between the terminus cliff and the station.

term9672 is from the second terminus station. This station is the Canada Glacier eddy correlation station, which was moved to the terminus near the SSSI, run for approximately 10 days in the middle of January, and then taken down and shipped back to the US.

NOTE: radiation sensors are looking into and away from cliff, not up and down.

gd-rad.dat is incoming longwave radiation from a land radiation station Paul setup and ran for Gayle. It covers JD 10 to 17, 1997.
